• Wonderful blogging advice from one of my favorite bloggers.
• Love, love, love this Manifesto for Vibrant Living from my blog friend Analiese at Green Plate Studios. I feel like I could have written it myself, and I'm inspired to see how I can move towards a life that's in closer alignment with this vision she articulated.

• This post is an articulate response to another blogger's critical post about women's tendency to infantalize themselves by liking things like cupcakes and cute dresses and flowers. As someone who doesn't care for women policing other women, I really appreciate Elizabeth's perspective and appreciation for individuals.

• Stunning cinemagraphs.
• Get Scarffy with this ADORABLE video. Bri is darling.

• I was super excited to learn that Joy the Baker has a podcast. I can't believe I didn't know about it and can't wait to listen! Judging by the episode titles, it'll be a riot :)
• New Bon Iver is out! {FYI: link will launch iTunes} For some reason, Bon Iver sounds like fall and winter to me, but I'm excited to have some fresh tunes this month.

• Time for popsicles! Recipes here: 50 homemade popsicle recipes, even more popsicle recipes, and pudding pop recipes. I'm scouring the lists for dairy-free and easily non-dairy-izable versions :)

• Summer salads are one of the best parts about the season, in my opinion. Here are even more ideas.
• I'm keeping my eyes open for this blog design workshop hosted by Jo of August Empress and the amazing Darling Tree web design studio.

• Holy cow, there are no words: Pizza pot pie. {I'm daydreaming about a version with a whole wheat crust, less cheese and more veggies!}
• I cannot wait to see the ideas that come out of this: "Rethinking the Food Label: Nutrition. Design. Conversation."

ReplyDeleteAnd I will respond to your email soon. :-)
i always love your monthly recaps. I star them in my google reader so I can go back and read through all the links when I have time.
ReplyDeletei also really loved that blog post by delightfully tacky; the original article rubbed me the wrong way. i mean, what in the world is wrong with going out for frozen yogurt instead of wine?
I look forward to your post of faves every month!! You always introduce me to so many new things that I end up loving!
ReplyDeleteI loved the discussion on Infantalization of women, was totally annoyed by that "commedian" lady and was really empressed by Elizabeth's response too!
I love the cinemagraphs soooo much and wish I could learn how to make my own!!
I loved the video response to Beyonce's song. I had actually never heard the song before and as soon as I heard the song I thought a.) wow I don't like pop music b.) wow I don't like this song and that video response was so right and c.) the song beat is from the song Pon de Floor by Major Lazer....
LOVING those summer salad ideas! I can't wait to make the avocado and strawberry one.
Love that post..... this is a great idea and you have some really great links there :) Thanks for sharing!
